Dimensions offers stability and a growth path by virtue of its use of the SQL database or SQL Express (Microsoft SQL Desktop Edition).
Dimensions offers sophisticated multi-currency functionality, with multiple exchange rate, foreign currency sales, purchase and nominal accounts, bank accounts in currency etc as well as handling Intrastats.
Dimensions offers incredible “drill down” facilities to see, for example, double entries against nominal transactions and 360 degree views of sales and purchase ledger transactions allowing you to drill down to any aspect of the transaction. |

Additional Software and Services
Rent-I.T. Systems UK Limited have put together an off the shelf package of software and services which provides a complete working system for our customers. Occasionally, additional software and services will be identified in the first consultancy day. For example, with software, some customers may require the Fixed Asset module or the Executive Desktop.
Additional consultancy may occasionally be required if, for example, you wish to import full history from your existing accounts or if your reporting requirements are particularly complex.
Installation
Access Dimensions is a SQL application and therefore requires an installation service. This is provided by our approved partner, Blue Chip, who you should contact directly for a quotation. |
Consultancy Schedule
Day One: Project Planning, Business Analysis and agree Nominal Structure
We will analyse your requirements for the implementation of Access Accounts. We will identify and analyse any additional requirements that you may have for the implementation culminating in a Project Initiation Document (PID). This is the first implementation activity and is usually done before the 3-day Dimensions User Training. We will also identify any additional service requirements that are outside those normally provided within the normal 4 day package, ie: exceptional report writing requirements, Office Integration requirements, Output document modifications etc.
Day Two: ImplementationConsultancy and planning of Data Transfer
We will provide you with a clear definition of the data format we require you to provide from your existing accounting system. Once produced, we will then import this data in to Access. The data we will transfer is:
Nominal Records and Opening Balances
Sales Ledger Records and Opening Balances
Purchase Ledger Records and Opening Balances
Day Three: Consolidate Training/Answer Questions
We will offer additional assistance in the implementation of your Access software including any minor report or document changes, configuration of links to BACS software or advice on system set up.
Day Four: Go Live Assistance
We will be available on site to ensure a smooth go-live process.
