University of Sheffield and Rent-I.T. Systems in MRP / ERP education partnership
Rent-IT Systems UK Limited, suppliers of the 123mrp.NET Production Management System, has entered into a partnership with University of Sheffield (UoS) whereby Rent IT have supplied 200 licenses of 123mrp.NET for educational use, at no charge. The partnership with UoS allows Rent-IT to conduct free Evaluation Workshops thus making information about 123mrp.NET available for the University's local manufacturing community.
University of Sheffield Management School has a strong link with the local industry and this partnership is an ideal example of knowledge transfer activities between higher education and industry.

Lenny Koh, Director of Logistic and Supply Chain Management Research Group, "After attending an evaluation workshop organised by Rent-IT I found 123mrp.NET to be the most straightforward and user friendly system available; an ideal MRP system for SMEs. I will use 123mrp.NET for teaching and I believe this application will effectively demonstrate how MRP works."
Rent IT already runs several Evaluation Workshops every month around the country, where prospective customers can understand the capabilities of 123mrp.NET, view the software in action and see how 123mrp.NET's rental model allows them to implement a high-end MRP system without the usually associated large financial outlay and training requirements.
